Confidence and Practice (Non-Scored) Questions

Last Updated: Jul 14, 2015 09:33PM UTC
There are two types of non-scored RealMeasure® questions that appear in Plus courses:

  • Confidence Questions: Question(s) that assess a learner’s overall confidence level in managing patients with symptoms and conditions discussed in the course.
  • Practice Questions: Question(s) that assess a learner’s practice patterns in managing patients with symptoms and conditions discussed in the course.

Confidence and Practice questions are based on a Likert scale that ranges from 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest magnitude (i.e., 1= Not at all confident, 5= Very confident).

Example of a Pre Confidence question:

Example of a Pre Practice question:

Both question types are presented to learners at the beginning of a course (baseline measure), and a slightly modified version of the questions are presented at the end of a course to measure a change in confidence and practice strategy after participation in a course.

Example of a Post Confidence question:

Example of a Post Practice question:

We generally recommend one Confidence question and one to two Practice questions to assess confidence levels in managing the type of patients discussed in the course and measure the most important behavior changes that the course is attempting to address respectively.
